About Reb Nancy

Hello! Welcome to Jewish Life Celebrations! I’d like to introduce myself.

I was ordained as Jewish clergy in January 2022 with the title of Rabbinic Pastor. Going to rabbinical school was a dream-come-true for me, however unlikely it seemed. You see, I was born and raised as a Catholic. I only came to know and love Judaism after I married my Jewish husband, who introduced me to Jewish traditions, holidays, and Yiddishkeit. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. I made my conversion some 25 years ago, but I continue to be grateful to my mother for giving me the gift of faith and for instilling in me a deep respect for all religions.

I want to serve folks who are searching for independent Jewish clergy who are progressive, inclusive, and creative. My background has made me passionate about being able to offer customized Jewish and Interfaith services to individuals and couples. These services include officiating at life cycle events, such as weddings, baby namings, and funerals, as well as providing spiritual care through life’s many challenges.

This is a second career for me and truly a labor of love. I spent many years as an audiologist, working with people who had hearing loss to improve their communication skills. As clergy I work with diverse groups of people. I can now focus even more on listening deeply and supporting more compassionately. I feel honored by your trust as I accompany you through the joys and sorrows of life. I am also part of a consortium of Jewish women clergy from across the country, JewishWomenClergy.com. Feel free to check our website for online courses and other offerings coming soon.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

the heart of wonder.
